Your data is only accessible to authorised board members and volunteers of the association. It may also be processed by:
- our hosting provider, o2switch, in France;
- the providers of services embedded in the website, only if you consent: Google (reCAPTCHA, YouTube, Google Fonts where applicable), Twitch, Meta (Facebook, Instagram), X, TikTok;
- administrative or judicial authorities, where required by law.
The association does not sell or rent your personal data.
2.4 Transfers outside the European Union
The website and the Matomo audience measurement are hosted in France. However, some embedded third-party services (Google, Twitch, Meta, X, TikTok) may transfer data to countries outside the European Union, in particular the United States. These transfers only take place after you consent and are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or otherwise by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
2.5 Minors
Under French law, a minor under 15 cannot give consent alone to processing based on consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies): their legal guardian’s agreement is required. A minor’s membership of the association and participation in competitions require their legal guardian’s authorisation.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:
- right of access to your data;
- right to rectify inaccurate data;
- right to erasure;

- right to set instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@yod-esports.org or by post to the association’s registered office. Proof of identity will only be requested if there is reasonable doubt about your identity. The association will reply within one month, which may be extended by two months for complex requests; you will be informed if so.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, or CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France. You may also contact the data protection authority of your country of residence.

3. Cookies and trackers
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work (storing your consent choices, language, security) are set without your consent. All others (statistics cookies, third-party content, social networks, reCAPTCHA) are only set after you consent, via the banner shown on your first visit.
You can accept, refuse or customise your choices by category; refusing is as easy as accepting and does not prevent you from using the website. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which the banner is shown again. Cookies have a maximum lifespan of 13 months. When third-party content is blocked, a message lets you enable it on a one-off basis.
3.1 Managing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time below:
3.2 Audience measurement with Matomo
The website uses Matomo, an audience measurement tool hosted on our own servers in France: no data is passed on to third parties. By default, Matomo works without cookies and with anonymised IP addresses. If you accept the “Statistics” category, an audience measurement cookie is set for up to 13 months to improve the accuracy of the statistics.
You can opt out of being counted in the statistics at any time:
